About

Amanda’s life passion is helping children find their voice. She is an ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association) certified speech language pathologist who has been evaluating and treating children with speech and/or language disorders for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University, and has experience working with children with a variety of speech and language disorders. She has worked in various settings including county-based programs, private schools, parochial schools, community clinics, home-based services, and private practice.

Amanda has extensive training in the area of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and is proud to be recognized by Apraxia-Kids for advanced training and clinical expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She has been trained in PROMPT (Phonetic Restructuring of Oral Motor Targets) and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC).

Amanda has presented at regional, state, and national conferences, including the Apraxia-Kids conventions, OSSPEAC conventions, Cincinnati Public Schools, and Mercer County Educational Service Center. She presents on treatment and evaluation of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, /r/ sound therapy, and speech and language development. Finally, she has lectured at The Ohio State University’s Speech & Hearing Science Department and has taught graduate level coursework on speech sound disorders and speech and language evaluation procedures.

Amanda is available to provide consultation and educational in-services to local school districts and agencies regarding her expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, speech sound disorders, and speech and language development.

In addition to being passionate about speech language pathology, Amanda is a proud mom and wife.
