A combination of a parent/caregiver report, formal standardized testing, dynamic assessment, and informal testing will be included in a comprehensive evaluation to help determine your child’s speech and language skill set.
Areas assessed may include: articulation skills, phonological speech skills, speech motor planning skills, expressive language skills, receptive language skills, pragmatic language skills, vocal skills, and fluency skills. Pure tone hearing acuity will also be assessed with an audiometer.
After the initial evaluation, Amanda Zimmerman will decide if your child would benefit from receiving therapy. If pursued, therapy will be scheduled on a consistent day and time at your child’s home, school, or via telehealth.
